This winters on and off weather looks to continue this weekend, with Stark Jetty having just received a small facelift after early June's storms lifted a bunch of it's old planks. Other casualties were the late May notherly winds toppling one of The Basins iconic Norfolk Pine trees :(

Well the exhibition has come and gone, dubbed a modest success. More than half the hanging prints sold, with twice as many more orders taken through this website as a result of the exposure. Looking forward to the next one already :)
I've been lucky enough to have some good exposure over the past few weeks, starting with a quick segment on Channel 9's Today show, and then this lovely little write up in the western suburbs local paper. Thanks to the RIA marketing team for getting my mug on TV, and to David Cohen at The Post for getting this one to print :)
The time has come. I'm finally going to be exhibiting prints of the Island, on the Island! From mid Feb to late April I'll be taking over the 1857 built heritage Salt Store gallery space. Showcasing panoramic images on both canvas and as framed prints up to 150cm wide, there is bound to be something that catches your eye. I hope to see you there!
A ferry fraca looms once again with the recent introduction of newcomer Sealink to the Rottnest Island run. Since the demise of Oceanic Cruises in late 2009, Rottnest Express has enjoyed the lion's share of the market, further expanding it's operations onto the island through bus tours, aqua adventure tours, and most recently the acquisition and rebranding of the original Rottnest Tearooms, now trading as Thomson's Restaurant.
With Sealink already a major marine transport operator in other parts of Australia, including Kangaroo (SA), Magnetic (QLD), and the Tiwi Islands (NT), we may assume they know how to operate a ferry. With plans to be the first and last ferry to and from Rottnest every single day, one thing is for sure, the customer will benefit. If not financially, then definitely in the convenience stakes.
